Tasty beer, tasteless comedy

Craft beers and raunchy comedy on tap for Brew Ha-Ha at The Loft

Posted
Tuesday, April 15 — Few things go hand-in-hand better than copious amounts of beer and questionably tasteful comedy. Brew Ha-Ha, the unofficial pre-party for this weekend’s Microbrew & Music Festival, takes this knowledge to heart for an event Thursday night at The Loft.

This is the first time Brew Ha-Ha will occur in Lansing. Previous events were held in Kalamazoo. Still, Michael Lasher, comedian and organizer of the event, expects a good turnout.

“It’s going to be a good event with really good beer and good comedians,” Lasher said.

Lasher is joined by comedians Adam Degi, Jacob Kubon, Josh Ortega, Pat Sievert and Jennifer Dama. DJ Michael McCluskey will play tracks throughout the night. Lasher admits that the comedy is “more raunchy, not kid-friendly.”

As for the brew, The Loft will have six craft beers on tap, featuring a collection of seasonal, specialty, rare and Belgian beers.

Everyone who buys a ticket will also be entered into a raffle for prizes, including a Fat Tire Cruiser Bike. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased at the event for $5 a piece or $20 for five.
