Monday, Sept. 22 — You can nominate an individual, business, organization, or official for the Art Council of Greater Lansing’s, Applause Awards. Nominees should show commitment along with contributions and support for the council and the arts in the tri-county area.
Three awards will be given out this year. The Individual Leadership Award is given to an individual who contributes to the arts in the capital area by using leadership, commitment, vision and support. The Business Arts Award is for businesses or organizations that support the council of arts financially and developmentally.
New this year, the Civic Award is given to an elected or appointed official in a city, county, township or village that shows continuous support.
The deadline to nominate someone for each of these awards is 5 p.m. Friday; Oct. 24. Nominations can be made here. More information at (517) 853-7580.
Winners will be announced at the 35th annual Holiday Glitter fundraiser scheduled for December.
