Michigan BluesFestLive blues music on a balmy, late-summer evening — what could cure the blues better than that? Michigan BluesFest, formerly known as Old Town Blues Fest, is once again bringing a selection of stand-out performers to the streets of Lansing. Local and non-local musicians alike are taking to the stage for two evenings and afternoons. Headlining Friday night is singer Thornetta Davis, and Saturday night brings us the Chicago-based Toronzo Cannon. Daytime events include a walking tour of Old Town at 11 a.m. (meet in front of Message Makers, 1217 Turner St.) and KidzBeat lessons and projects (at Cesar Chavez Plaza/City Lot 56).
