Tease pizza

Cosmos to unveil new menu tonight

Posted

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 23 — Attention Lansing foodies: Old Town pizza hotspot Cosmos, sister restaurant to Zoobie’s tavern, will unveil its fall menu at 5 p.m. today. The sci fi-themed restaurant has earned a place in the heart of Lansing eaters with its creative take on pizza.

A Monday Facebook post from the restaurant said that the restaurant would be closed today until the 5 p.m. reveal. The post also encouraged patrons, “Gird your loins,” and, “Prepare your sweatpants.”

Sinces its reopening in 2013, Zoobies has become one of Lansing’s most popular watering holes. The addition of Cosmos and its upscale pies has only heightened the buzz around the connected establishments.

Zoobies and Cosmos are both owned by the Potent Potables group, who recently opened another Old Town pub, the Creole, in the former Creole Gallery space on Turner Street. The Creole officially opened Sept. 11, serving beer, mixed drinks and a limited food menu. A full kitchen and an adjoining breakfast/lunch space next door are slated to open later this year.
