The Lansing City Council Candidates on the Issues

Candidates respond to City Pulse general election questions

Posted

Eight candidates are hoping Lansing voters will put them into one of four City Council seats up for grabs in November. To help voters better understand where the candidates stand on a variety of issues, we asked them to complete a series of questions. Those answers are now published as a blog for each individual candidate.

In the At-Large race, four candidates are vying for two seats. The candidates are incumbent Carol Wood, and challengers Emily Dievendorf, Harold Leeman and Patricia Spitzley. In the First Ward, incumbent Jody Washington is being challenged by political newcomer Shelley MIelock Davis. And in the Third Ward, incumbent A'Lynne Boles is fending off a challenge by Adam Hussain.
