What's up in Lansing: The Diary of Anne Frank

Here's what's going on in town today

Posted

Good day on this mild Thursday.

Today is the opening show for "The Diary of Anne Frank" at Riverwalk Theatre. Read about what promises to be a moving and powerful performance here. If you can't make it tonight, you might catch the play any evening tomorrow through Sunday, or again from Oct. 29-Nov. 1.

As for other events in store today, the Information Technology Empowerment Center and the Lansing Maker’s Network are teaming up to provide area youth with a hands-on educational experience and introduce them to new and exciting technology.

The Monster Maker Mashup is geared toward children ages 5-12, and the fun activities will encourage students to engage their skills in math, science, engineering and technology. Kids can test their knowledge while playing games like Mega Tetris, Operation, LEGO Robotics and more. They can also participate in a variety of other Halloween-themed games and crafts, including pumpkin carving.
