City Council elections cash

Campaign finance reports were due Friday, here's what the candidates reported

The money is flowing in the Lansing City Council races. Reports covering up through Oct. 18 were filed with the Ingham County Clerk. Here's what the candidates are reporting:

In the At-Large Council Race:

Patricia Spitzley raised $14,200, and has $9,864.70 cash on hand.

Carol Wood raised $6,240, and has $2,004.38 cash on hand.

Emily Dievendorf raised $3,713.48, and has $1,841.09 cash on hand.

Harold Leeman did not raise any cash and $143.73 cash on hand.

In the First Ward Race:

Incumbent Jody Washington reported raising $13,125, and a cash on hand balance of $10,678.19.

Shelley Davis Mielock reported raising $20,340, and a cash on hand balance of $11,462.46.

In the Third Ward Race:

Incumbent A'Lynne Boles reported raising $10,640 and $2,864.23 cash on hand.

Adam Hussain reported raising $7,512.04 and having $5,219.25 cash on hand.

For those keeping count, that's $75,770.52 raised, and $39,311.06 spent in the bid to fill four seats on city council.

Campaign finance reports covering the period through Oct. 18 were due on Friday at 4 pm. All but one Lansing City Council candidate met the deadline -- Spitzley, candidate for an at-large seat, filed her report late. For everyday a report is late, the campaign committee is fined $25.
