Here's what's going on in town today

Good day on this gray Tuesday, the Ides of March.

Maybe you’ve already heard it through the grapevine, but “Motown the Musical” is coming to the Wharton Center. The show follows the life of Detroit record producer Berry Gordy with a book written by the man himself. Through a series of flashbacks, the show highlights Gordy’s personal and professional relationships with stars such as Diana Ross, Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye. With over 60 Motown songs worked into the production, there ain’t no mountain high enough to keep Detroit music fans away from this show. The March 17 performance is followed by a talk with cast members. 7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday; 8 p.m. Friday; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday; 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets start at $38.
