Exhibiting a palpable joy in the music, each performance by Orpheus is played with electrifying spirit and energy. Orpheus combines the intimacy and warmth of a chamber ensemble with the richness and depth of an orchestra – all with no conductor. Joined by violin great Pinchas Zukerman – no stranger to Wharton Center audiences – they perform an outstanding program featuring Johann Christian Bach’s Symphony in G minor, Op. 6, No. 6; Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major; Beethoven’s Romance for Violin and Orchestra No. 1 in G; Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin and more. Don’t miss this unique ensemble and master musician in an inspiring performance!
