Here's what's going on in town today

Posted

Good day on this rainy Wednesday.

Food writing, travel writing, poetry, creative nonfiction — all these and more are genres tackled by writer Matthew Gavin Frank, who presents today at the MSU Library. The Michigan-based author has published seven nonfiction and poetry books and has had work included in numerous magazines and other publications. His work draws from his experiences leading a vagabond-style course through food industry jobs, working as a sommelier, as a chef's assistant, on a marijuana farm and eventually, as a writer and teacher. 1 p.m. MSU Library, 366 W. Circle Drive, East Lansing. (517) 884-1932, centerforpoetry.wordpress.com.
