Good day on this partly cloudy Friday.Music fans across Greater Lansing look forward to the Summer Solstice Jazz Festival in East Lansing all year. Today brings a fundraising concert for the event that highlights male vocals in jazz. Read about the concert in Naseim Omeish's article here. Due to the popularity of the event, organizers added a second performance for 9 p.m.The MSU Museum invites guests to raise a glass to science and history today at its annual wine tasting fundraiser. Over 175 wines are available at the event, which is co-sponsored by the Greater Lansing Vintners Club. The wine list features several Michigan and independently owned wineries, as well as imported offerings. For the real wine geeks, vendors and industry professionals are on hand to answer questions or talk wine. The event also includes appetizers, live music, door prizes and silent auctions.
