What's up in Lansing: Weekday Wildflower Walk and more

Here's what's going on in town today

Posted

Good day on this rainy Tuesday.

As Mid Michigan slowly turns from gray, brown and white to pink, green and yellow, naturalists at Harris Nature Center invite fans of spring to enjoy the seasonal colors with guided wildflower walks, including one today. As many springtime flowers bloom for just a short time, each weekly walk offers a unique array of flora. If your schedule prevents you from joining the walks during the week, never fear -- there are several Sunday walks as well. The walk on May 1 features edible plants with expert guide Peter Carrington. Don't spoil your dinner. 10:30-11:30 a.m. $3. Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road, Meridian Township. (517) 349-3866, bit.ly/HNCprg.
