What's up in Lansing: Arts Night Out and more

Here's what's going on in town today

Posted

Good day on this warm and sunny Friday.

Arts Night Out, Lansing's new monthly art-walk event, kicks off tonight in Old Town. City Pulse's Ty Forquer talks with artists involved here.

Husband-and-wife duo Mollie O’Brien and Rich Moore bring their wide-ranging show to the Fiddle Friday. The duo, who have been playing together for nearly 30 years, make it their mission to find and reinvent other artists’ songs. Their stage show covers a wide range of music — from blues and traditional folk to jazz and rock ‘n’ roll — with just one singer and one guitarist. The duo are also songwriters, so expect some original tunes at Friday’s show. 8 p.m. $18/$15 Fiddle members/$5 students. MSU’s Community Music School, 4930 S. Hagadorn Road, East Lansing. (517) 337-7744, tenpoundfiddle.org.
