What's up in Lansing: Arts Night Out and more

Good day on this pre-summer Friday.

The Arts Night Out kickoff in Old Town brought an estimated 2,000 people to the boutique neighborhood last month. Friday, the multi-site art event comes to downtown East Lansing. Participating businesses and galleries are paired with visual and performing artists to create an evening of pop-up art experiences. East Lansing’s Saper Gallery celebrates 30 years of business at the event, offering live music by Elden Kelly. The city will also unveil its new community-funded mosaic, which was created by local artist Julian Van Dyke. 5-8 p.m. FREE. Downtown East Lansing (see the website for participating locations).
