FRIDAY, June 3 — While the Verve Pipe and Wally Pleasant are the big names at the first-ever City Pulse River Rock Concert, the second night of the festival features an exciting slate of local talent and a celebration of local business, people and places.
The two-day festival comes to Adado Riverfront Park June 10 and 11; the Verve Pipe and Wally Pleasant headline June 10. On June 11, the festival hosts four musical acts, plus the City Pulse Top of the Town Party. Tickets for June 11 are just $5 in advance, and the at-the-door price has been lowered to $8. Advance tickets are available online at riverrockconcert.com or in-person at Flat Black & Circular and the City Pulse Office.
June 11’s slate of performers includes hip-hop artist James Gardin, singer/songwriter Stefanie Haapala, indie rockers Elliot Street Lunatic and pop punk group City Mouse.
The Top of the Town Party is included in the ticket price. City Pulse and Fox 47 News will celebrate the winners of this year’s Top of the Town contest. Several of Greater Lansing’s top eateries will be serving up food and beverage samples, including Zaytoon Mediterranean, Jersey Giant, Cravings, Glazed & Confused, Strange Matter Coffee Co., Lou & Harry’s, Eastside Fish Fry, El Azteco, P.F. Chang’s and Sweetie-licious Bakery Cafe.
