What's up in Lansing: Nature appreciation and more

Here's what's going on in town today

Posted

Good day on on this mid-seventies Tuesday.

To some, summer means heat and mosquitoes. To others, it signifies lush nature and time spent outdoors. Naturalists at Harris Nature Center invite the latter category to enjoy the seasonal colors with guided wildflower walks, including one today. As many flowers bloom for just a short time, each weekly walk offers a unique array of flora. If your schedule prevents you from joining the walks during the week, never fear -- there are several Sunday walks as well. 10:30-11:30 a.m. $3. Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road, Meridian Township. (517) 349-3866, bit.ly/HNCprg.
