Good day on this hot and partly-cloudy Monday.

Capital Area District Library offers a program today to introduce kids to positive leadership figures in their community — and, just as importantly according to the kids, check out their cool trucks and cars. Kids who attend can meet members of Lansing Public Safety's Youth Leadership Academy and hear stories about positive leadership. Other activities include crafts and a visit from the Lansing Police G.R.E.A.T. Sportsmobile. The event is aimed at kids ages 10 and below. 1-3 p.m. FREE. CADL Downtown Lansing, 401 S. Capitol Ave., Lansing.
