What's up in Lansing: Carillon concert and more

Here's what's going on in town today

Posted

Good day on this hot Wednesday.

Bells at MSU's Beaumont Tower will be ringing today — not for a wedding or memorial, but for a concert. Who's playing? The bells themselves. Tiffany Ng, the University carillonist at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, plays a concert as part of the 2016 Muelder Summer Carillon series today. Ng is an advocate for contemporary music and has worked on crowdsourced carillon projects and data-driven sound installations. 6 p.m. FREE. Beaumont Tower, MSU Campus, East Lansing. (517) 353-5340, ow.ly/4nrq22.
