Good day on this sunny Monday.

The Better Living Book Club, which is associated with the East Lansing Public Library, makes it a goal to read books that help readers live "more fully with greater joy and less stress." Their selection for this month, "Never Change," by Elizabeth Berg, is the story of a 51-year-old, self-proclaimed spinster who meets her high school crush again when he becomes a terminal patient under her care. Next month the group is reading "Goddesses Never Age" by Christiane Northrup, M.D. and meets Aug. 8. 7 p.m. FREE. East Lansing Public Library, 950 Abbot Road, East Lansing. elpl.org.
