Here's what's going on in town today

Posted

Good day on this hot and rainy Wednesday.

As if it weren’t hot enough, Motown legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Martha Reeves brings a "Heat Wave" to St. Johns today. Known for signature songs like "Dancing in the Streets," and "Nowhere to Run," the Grammy-nominated singer and her vocal trio, the Vandellas present a rare live performance at St. Johns' Concert in the Park series. Reeves’ setlist includes Motown hits, as well as some gospel favorites. The Jack Clarkson Band, featuring a septet of decorated Michigan musicians, opens the show, and a group of mid-Michigan dance instructors perform as part of the show. 7 p.m. FREE. William E. Tennant Performance Shell, 804 W. Park Drive, St. Johns. ow.ly/92f1301X6Vz.
