THURSDAY, Aug. 25 — Sarnie Shoppe, a deli moving into the first floor of the Knapp’s Centre, announced on its Facebook page that it’s downtown Lansing location will open Sept. 5. The Ohio-based deli has one other location, its original shop near Toledo.
In an interview earlier this year, owner Gareth Jones described the Knapp’s Centre as “a great location,” adding that “there’s a lot of buzz in downtown Lansing.”
Sarnie is another name for sandwiches in England, where Jones grew up. The deli will take up about 2,000 square feet of space on the Knapp's Centre’s first floor. The restaurant offers a variety of deli-style sandwiches, as well as soups, salads and smoothies.Support City Pulse - Donate Today!
