Here's what's going on in town today

Good day on this hot, late-summer Monday.

Harris Nature Center begins two series of classes today that aim to introduce younger children to nature. "My Cub and I: Nature for Toddlers" and "Timber Tots: Nature for Preschoolers" are six-week-long classes where parents and kids can take nature walks, listen to stories and do educational activities alongside a naturalist. The preschool class meets from 9-10 a.m., and the toddler class meets from 10:30-11:30 a.m. $35. Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road, Meridian Township. (517) 349-3866, bit.ly/HNCprg.
