REO Town Sessions, a new artist-driven event that launched in December, returns to the Robin Theatre Saturday. The monthly series highlights local artists from a variety of genres, including music, photography, dance and painting. Keyboardist Stephanie Gewirtz and saxophonist Jon Gewirtz team up for a Sunday afternoon performance at Central United Methodist Church. Stephanie Gewirtz, director of music and liturgy at Plymouth Congregational Church, is an active performer and accompanist in the Greater Lansing area. Jon Gewirtz, a frequent performer at local jazz festivals, is also on faculty at Lansing Community College, Hillsdale College and Olivet College. Sunday, 4 p.m. FREE, donations accepted. Old Town’s MICA Gallery celebrates the poetic side of love with the 22nd annual "Burning Desires: An Afternoon of Love in Performance and Art." Local poets like Ruelaine Stokes, Dennis Hinrichsen, Aram Kabodian and Rosalie Petrouske present poetry on themes of love and desire. The event also features and open mic session. Mid-Michigan’s largest burlesque and drag event is back for its annual Valentine’s Day edition. The Lansing City Market is hosts its first-ever Valentine’s Scavenger Hunt Saturday. The event takes hunters on a photo scavenger hunt through Lansing, and participants who complete the hunt have a chance to win a suite at Cooley Law School Stadium for a Lugnuts game.
