Good day on this rainy Monday.

Jazz trombonist Conrad Herwig swings through MSUFCU’s headquarters today to kick off a week-long residency at MSU. Herwig, who has shared the stage with music legends Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis and Tito Puente, will be accompanied Monday by MSU’s jazz faculty supergroup, the Professors of Jazz. The residency, which includes a busy week of masterclasses and school performances, culminates March 24 with a performance by Herwig and MSU’s jazz orchestras at the Wharton Center. 6 p.m. FREE.
