Here's what's going on in town today

Good day on this cloudy Monday.

The MSU Honor College commemorates its 25th "Sharper Focus, Wider Lens" lecture series with a multi-disciplinary presentation on the power of imagination. Students and the public alike are invited to listen to talks on poetry as a form of activism, the theatrical staging of protests, how an idea becomes a film, songwriting by youth in Detroit and the re-purposing of animal snares from East Africa into decorative art. An audience Q&A session follows the talks.

Speakers include:

Laura Apol, Ph.D., Department of Teacher Education

Robert Montgomery, Ph.D., Department of Fisheries and Wildlife

Vaughn W.M. Watson, Ed.D., Department of Teacher Education

Ann Folino White, Ph.D., Department of Theatre

Jeff Wray, M.F.A., Department of English

7-8:30 p.m. FREE. MSU Union Ballroom, 49 Abbott Road, East Lansing.
