Welcome to the weekend!
Dr. Horrible, an aspiring supervillain, faces steep odds as he attempts to join the super exclusive Evil League of Evil in Over the Ledge Theatre Co.’s staged reading of Joss Whedon’s “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.” Played in this production by Josh Martin, Dr. Horrible is foiled every step of the way in his quest for infamy by Captain Hammer, a self-centered, walking parody of a superhero, played by Andrew Snyder. The duo’s antics escalate when Penny (Ann Carlson), an unsuspecting love interest, enters the mix. 8 p.m. $8. The Ledges Playhouse, 137 Fitzgerald Park Drive, Grand Ledge.
