What's Up in Lansing: Mud and Mug

Posted

Friday night is usually a time for going out to eat and drink, why not throw pottery in the mix? Both novices and experts alike are invited to participate in Reach Studio Art Center’s “Mud & Mug” class. Participants are encouraged to bring their own food and drink to enjoy while creating pottery.

Reach is a community center that provides community events like these in an effort to “connect artists with local residents” and “strengthen community” according to its website.

Attendees are advised that projects should be glazed entirely before leaving to allow for them to be fired. Projects will be fired at Reach Studio Art Center if attendees sign up for future classes, the firing process itself can take two weeks.
