What's Up in Lansing: An Evening with Saroo Brierly

Posted

Interested in meeting the man behind the blockbuster hit “Lion?” Saroo Brierley is the author of “A Long Way Home,” a memoir which tells the story of his separation with his biological parents, and how he reunited with them years later.

Brierley originally published his book in 2013, but the story spread around the world even faster once the 2016 hit film was produced. This One Book, One Community event allows the audience to not only meet the author, but ask him questions about his story.

One Book, One Community Kick-Off Event: An Evening with Saroo Brierley. Meet Saroo Brierly, of "A Long Way Home." 7 p.m. FREE. Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road, East Lansing.
