What's Up in Lansing: Beginning Rhumba

Ever been interested in learning a new skill? Why not dance? One of the most sensual dances in all of ballroom dance is the rhumba. The dance itself has both Spanish and African elements, but it originates in Cuba.

The Sparrow Michigan Athletic Club is now offering 10-week courses that provide instruction, regardless of skill level, to teach this dance. Not interested in rhumba? The athletic club is also offering a variety of dances, ranging from the two-step to the west coast swing.
