Posted

Have you heard about the recent spike in self-care? It is taking millennials by storm and according to Pew Research Center, more millennials are taking steps to commit to self-improvement than any other generation preceding them. Self-Care is an idea that revolves around improving one’s own well-being by attempting to improve health from the outside in.

For instance, people who engage in Self-Care can resolve to exercise more, eat better, spend more time resting or relaxing or engaging in meditative acts. This concept has been around long before this current generation however. The Ancient Greeks used it as a “way to make people more honest citizens who were more likely to care for others,” NPR reports.
