Adam's eve: July 13

Common Ground books Lambert and Orianthi

"American Idol" season eight runner-up Adam Lambert, whose eye-opening performance on last November's American Music Awards titillated some viewers and traumatized others, has been added to the lineup of performers for this year's Common Ground Festival. Lambert's concert is scheduled for July 13.

Previously announced Common Ground performers include Alice Cooper, Sammy Hagar, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Tesla.

Lambert's "For Your Entertainment" CD was certified platinum earlier this year for sales of over a million copies, and he returned to make a guest appearance on "Idol" last month.

Huffington Post critic called Lambert's CD " a launch pad to what is certain to be a fascinating and diverse artistic odyssey" and "one of the most impressive mainstream pop album debuts in recent memory."

Also announced for July 13: guitarist Orianthi, who also has an "Idol" connection — she backed up former "Idol" champion Carrie Underwood.

Orianthi's second album, "Believe," was released in October. The 25-year-old Australian had a Top 20 hit earlier this year with "According to You."

Seven-day tickets for Common Ground Music Festival are on sale now.

Passes can be purchased for $93 in advance and $99 beginning July 1.
