Posted

The self-described "pleasantly aggressive folk duo" Nervous but Excited — made up of singer-songwriters Kate Peterson and Sarah Cleaver — performs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Creole Gallery, 1218 Turner Street, in Lansing. Tickets are $10 and are available at www.nervousbutexcited.com, Elderly Instruments, Archives Books and Everybody Reads in Lansing.

The band is touring in support of the new release "Just the Two of Us (Our Duo Doing Duos)," which features their takes on The Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'," K-Ci & Jojo's "All My Life," Roxette's "The Look" and The Weepies' "World Spins Madly On," among others. Peterson and Cleaver have also assembled a six-part YouTube series detailing why they chose each cover tune.
