Heels of fire ´Turn Up the Heat´ at Latin dance class

As colder weather approaches Michigan, there is one community that might experience the opposite. Michelle’s Studio of Dance & Performing Arts Center in Haslett is heating things up in preparation for free salsa lessons at the Latin Dance Open House.

Latin Dance Open House — or “Turn Up The Heat” — on Saturday will add a little more skip and beat to the steps of the dancers with a free salsa lesson at 6 p.m., including light refreshments. From 7 to 9 p.m. guests will have the opportunity to practice their skills and watch a mini-performance of Latin dance.

The event also gives the studio an opportunity to welcome its newest dance instructor, Stephen Alexander.
Alexander has received formal training in Latin ballroom dancing and
salsa as well as cha cha and merengue.
