Posted

(Friday, Oct. 8) Comedian and actor Jon Lovitz takes the stage at Connxtions Comedy Club Nov. 12 and 13 for two shows each night. Tickets go on sale Monday, Oct. 11; prices are to be announced.

Lovitz rose to prominence as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" in the 1980s and 1990s, then went on to star in such films as "A League of Their Own," "High School High," director Todd Solondz's "Happiness," Woody Allen's "Small Time Crooks" and the Nicole Kidman remake of "The Stepford Wives." He completed work earlier this year on "Casino Jack" with Kevin Spacey, and has frequently been heard as a guest voice on "The Simpsons."

He also got some unwanted publicity earlier this year when he was sued by the Los Angeles Dodgers, an incident eagerly reported by blogger Perez Hilton.

Lovitz is no stranger to comedy clubs; he performs most Wednesday nights at his own establishment in Universal City, Calif.
