Wednesday, Oct. 27 — If you play your cards right, you could probably collect Halloween loot daily for the rest of the week.
You can start today in downtown Lansing when the downtown association hosts its third annual Trick-or-Treat on the Square. The free event is 5 to 7:30 p.m. on the 100 and 200 blocks of South Washington.
The kids-oriented Halloween festival includes slime making with Impression 5 Science Center, a hay maze, free hay rides, tours of Lansing Police and Fire Department vehicles and a CATA trolley, face painting and a Timbit eating contest sponsored by Tim Horton’s. (A timbit is a lot like a doughnut hole.)
Entertainment includes magician Bill Martin, the High 5 Stilts Guys, nocturnal animals from Potter Park Zoo and fire dancers from the Detroit Fire Guild.
Downtown Lansing Inc. and the city of Lansing sponsor the event.
