George Bernard Shaw´s comedy "Mrs. Warren´s Profession" opens Thursday at Lansing Civic Players Underground, 2300 E. Michigan Ave. in Lansing. The show is directed by Michael Hayes.
"Profession" revolves around the life of a late-19th-century brothel madam named Kitty Warren who has tried to keep her disreputable line of work a secret from her prim daughter, Vivie. When Vivie learns that her college education was paid for with the profits of prostitution, she´s aghast and the relationship between mother and daughter is jeopardized.
Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sunday through Nov. 21. All seats are $12.
