Friday, Aug. 26 — Although the new WLNS news set makes its debut during tonight's 5 p.m. newscast, chances are excellent you've already seen some of its elements.

The amber and blue backdrops of the main desk and the smaller "explainer" desk include images of such Lansing landmarks as the Capitol building and the recently renovated Accident Fund headquarters building, as well as East Lansing's Spartan Stadium and Jackson's Michigan Theatre. Liz Haar, president and CEO of Accident Fund Holdings, Inc., was delighted to find her building represented.

“Many other companies have chosen to leave the state in recent years, but Accident Fund chose to stay in downtown Lansing to help contribute to Lansing’s economic transformation,” Haar said in a press statement. “We are honored that WLNS-TV 6 chose to feature our beautiful new headquarters as part of its new broadcast set.”
