Casino in Lansing?

UPDATE: Friday, Sept. 30 — Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero would neitherconfirm nor deny today that the city is in talks with the Chippewa Indian tribeof Sault Ste. Marie for a casino in Lansing.

“No deal is on the table,” he said in an interview with CityPulse. “It would be wildly premature to say a casino is imminent. That’s as faras I will go” in commenting.

The mayor also said, “I think a casino would be great. We’vehad a lot of talks with a lot of entities. I’ve been in talks since I becamemayor. I will be in talks. Talks are a dime a dozen.”
