Jeff Gibson, owner of Superior Growers Supply, says misconceptions are rampant about his business, which is serving an ever-increasing interest in hydroponics, including but hardly limited to growing marijuana. MSU Professor Eric Freedman, co-author of "Presidents and Black America: A Documentary History," says many presidents were racist but some rose above it, although often for political reasons. Novelist/short story writer Bonnie Jo Campbell and MSU English Professor Edward Watts discuss the making and use of meth in rural America, the subject of an upcoming panel discussion that examines literature and real life.
