Thursday, April 26 — The East Lansing Film Festival has rescheduled its screening of the Oscar-nominated animated film "Chico and Rita" for May 16 at East Lansing's Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road.
Opening in late-1940s Havana, "Chico" details the difficult romance of a pianist and a vocalist as they try to juggle love and their love of music.
The showing starts at 7:30 p.m., and it will be followed by an afterglow reception. Tickets are $10 for the film, or $25 for the film and reception. Proceeds benefit the East Lansing Film Festival and the Summer Solstice Jazz Festival.
