Chill out in Narnia

Riverwalk Theatre's Young Artisan Workshop presents 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'

Posted
Wednesday, July 11 —  The Riverwalk Theatre steps off the River Trail and into Narnia for its first Young Artisan Workshop production. “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” is a stage adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ adored novel, in which siblings Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy venture away from World War II England and travel through a closet door into a land filled with talking animals, an evil queen and magic galore.

The goal of the Young Artisans Workshop is to introduce children between the ages of 10 and 18 to various aspects of community theater, including set design, construction, lighting, sound, costuming, props and acting. The Community Circle Players have teamed up with youngsters from around the Lansing area for the show. SaDonna Croft is the director.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14, and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15. Tickets are $5 for all seats. Call (517) 482-5700, or visit www.riverwalktheatre.com for more information.
