Be a good citizen, party at Rick’s

Tonight’s event benefits local food charity

Wednesday, April 17 — Rick’s American Café hosts a beneficiary for seniors tonight. Senioritis Night will be a chance to revel the end of the school year. What better way to approach the end of exams by giving back to the community and drinking a celebratory beer?

Rick’s is partnering with the Greater Lansing Food Bank to provide assistance to the Lansing community. All of the night’s cover proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit.

If a night of dancing and Rick’s festivities isn’t enough incentive to get student participation, attendees will also have a chance to win prizes. Crunchy’s and Jeanologie will distribute gifts throughout the event, and the first five people with birthdays falling between April 14 and April 20 will have an extra chance to win gift certificates.

“Rick’s was looking to hold a party to thank seniors for their patronage and they are excited to give back to the community at the same time,” said Hannah Middleton, accountant for the Greater Lansing Food Bank.

The Greater Lansing Food Bank provides necessary items for those in need and educating the public on hunger issues.
