Monday, Sept. 9 — Colorado-based New Belgium Brewing Co. invites Lansing to come worship at the temple of beer Wednesday as it unveils its new "Lips of Faith" series of brews paired with food samplings from Michigan State University’s food truck.
The “Lips of State” event is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Taps 25, 414 E. Michigan Ave. in Lansing. The event also includes live music by Detroit-based Drew Machak, who performs weekly on Tuesday night at Harper’s Brewpub in East Lansing.
While the menu’s not quite finalized, Food For Thought, MSU’s food truck in residence, will take care of the food end of the pairing.
In addition to New Belgium staples like Fat Tire and Ranger, the brewery is also unveiling more flavors from its “Lips of Faith” series — such as a Coconut Curry Hefeweizen, Nitro S’mores Porter and Peach Porch Lounger.
