Silver Bells announces entertainment

Wednesday, Oct. 2 — The committee behind next month’s Silver Bells in the City event announced today the line-up for its post-parade/fireworks entertainment. For the first time, two artists will perform at this year’s festivities.

Headlining the show is boy band IM5, a multi-cultural quintet discovered in 2011 by “American Idol” creator Simon Fuller. The band receives heavy rotation on Radio Disney. Opening up is Macy Kate, 15, who has lit up YouTube with her Pink and Imagine Dragons covers.

Both bands will perform Friday, Nov. 22 immediately following the fireworks, from 7:45-9 p.m. on the steps of the State Capitol.
