Downtown Lansing bar crawl gets Halloween fun started early

Posted

Friday, Oct. 25 — If it’s two things that go with Halloween, it’s costumes and walking around. Why not throw a little drinking into the mix? This Saturday, Oct. 26, downtown Lansing will host a bar crawl called the Miller Lite Tour of Terror that will give local bar-goers a jump on Halloween and give (responsibly drinking) adults a shot at some prizes.

The Tour will involve: Edmund’s Pastime, The Firm, House of Eden Rock, The Tin Can, The Exchange, Harem Urban Lounge, Waterfront Bar and Grille, The Black Rose, P Squared Wine Bar, Kelly’s, Tavern on the Square, The Nut House Sports Grill, Midtown Beer Co., Rum Runners, Mort’s, Stober’s Bar, The Green Door Bar & Grill and Taps 25. There will be drink specials at each place; a clever disguise will guarantee your behavior can remain anonymous.

A wristband grants revelers a ride to and from each establishment cover-free between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. You can pick up a free wristband and punch cards at any of the participating locations; participants will receive a stamp at each venue on the night of the tour. Everyone who submits a punch card at the end of the night will qualify for one of two prizes: a gift certificate package to all participating bars and restaurants or a night at the Radisson Hotel. Winners will be drawn next week.

Too bad the hotel stay is for a future night. It could be a long crawl home.
