Meet the Makers

Lansing-based creative club unveils its new digs

Posted

Friday, Nov. 15 — The Lansing Makers Network celebrates its move into the Old Town Temple Club with a special grand opening event from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. At the Lansing Makers Network Open Party (LMNOP, very clever), visitors can take a tour, meet members of the group, see live demonstrations and see recent projects.

The Lansing Makers Network, founded in January 2012, consists of local creative folks who combine technology and art in innovative ways. The group moved into the location in May, and according to a release is “finally taking a break to show off and celebrate what Lansing’s first maker space has become.” The new space allows members to share skills, tools, and inspiration in a single location and encourage each other.

Light food and drinks will be provided as well as some (as yet unnamed) entertainment. Visitors are encouraged to RSVP to the event at Eventbrite. More information at lansingmakersnetwork.org.
