This week’s cover story on the 40th anniversary of the draft lottery for the Vietnam War raises an interesting question for all men of draft age: What would you have done? Enlisted? Fled? Waited it out? To see how likely your chances were of getting called up while the draft was active, visit and look up your birthday and corresponding draft number on the grid. If your number is below 150, you were probably a sure bet to get drafted. Above 200, you were probably safe. Those with numbers between 150 and 200 had to wait and see. If you feel like sharing your thoughts on what you would have done, comment on this blog post.
