This is a support group for those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), their families and friends. EDS is a genetic connective tissue disorder, which can come in many types. Symptoms may include loose, hypermobile joints (double-jointed), stretchy skin, and abnormal scar formation.
In this first meeting (June 14th), there will be a short presentation about EDS, presented by Gayle Yankee. Gayle is a retired nurse practitioner (who worked in settings including pain management, gastroenterology, hospital internal medicine, and rheumatology), and has EDS as well. The meeting -in the community room of the Okemos Branch of the Capital Area District Library- will be casual. We'll provide filtered water. You may bring food or beverages to the meeting. Please share the event- tell your friends; thanks!
