River Town Adventures is teaming up with the Michigan History Center to offer an exclusive kayak trip and tour down the Red Cedar River. Hop into your kayak - singles and doubles are available - and enjoy a guided paddle down one of Michigan's most beautiful rivers. Periodic stops will offer an opportunity to learn from expert presenters on topics including kayaking techniques, fishing, local history, and Michigan's ecosystems. A nature scavenger hunt will provide a chance to win great prizes and ALL participants will walk away with a special free gift.
Advance registration is required. All equipment will be provided. This event is open to adults and children 10+. Children under the age of 12 must be in a double kayak with a parent or guardian. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian registered to participate in the event with them. Please wear clothing and shoes that can get wet!
The Michigan History Museum presents this program in celebration of our special exhibit, The River that Changed the World.
