Join us for an evening of fun and culture! We're holding a silent auction to help raise money for The Global Institute of Lansing. The funds raised will go toward helping our students with tuition costs and other program expenses such as textbooks and science lab kits. At this event, we will have student performances, live music, a sampling of food from around the world and a cash bar.
Tickets are $25 per person and includes dinner and one drink ticket. You can pay at the door or purchase on-line at:

The Global Institute of Lansing (GIL) is a 501(c)(3) organization that was established in 2010. We help adult refugees earn a high school diploma through an accredited on-line high school completion program. Our program has a classroom and is staffed by 18 volunteer teachers that help our students complete the 24 classes required to earn their high school diploma. All of our students are refugees, are over 20 years of age, and represent 22 different countries. Since opening our classroom doors, we have enrolled 167 students and 65 have graduated. We are a one-of-a-kind program in our area that specifically meets the educational needs of our adult refugee community. Since the mid-1970's, over 15,000 refugees have been resettled in the Lansing area. Our program is unique because we work with our students one-on-one and in small groups to help them master their courses; giving them the educational foundation to succeed in post-secondary education and/or obtain gainful employment.
